Hi all, I'm having an issue with attrition on my team. While I realize its a common issue, I wanted to get your feed back as to why you think that is in my case. Basically our team training is all we offer to new people and the training basically covers product information, proprietary marketing funnel set up, a couple of profile edits in the back office, templates for advertising such as flyers, business cards and such. There is very little if anything about the very essence of Network Marketing; prospecting, recruiting, leadership etc. We have a few training calls and while some of them go into a little bit od depth on prospecting and etc. It's not a lot. In addition, we are trained to post ads on job sites for leads as a means of online marketing. In comparison to other lead generation methods used by people in MLSP and other systems, I get minimal results (like less than 10 leads per day). The leads that I do get, I don't have a high conversion rate with because either they are looking for a job instead, have to talk to a spouse, the ever popular money objection, all the normal stuff. Once we sign someone up, we are trained to send them to our training website and then encourage them to get on conference calls and thats basically it. The top leadership in the team basically says its the new persons responsibility to contact the upline and if they quit oh well. While I agree with all that since its consistent with from the research I've done and books I've read, I feel like there's more to it in regard to what I could be doing to be a better upline and/or have less attrition. I just wanted to get your thoughts on that. I'm almost ready to switch companies because of the upline support I don't feel like I'm getting when I ask the "hard questions" example: I asked the #2 leader in the team why we are trained to advertise on job sites and she basically just restated my question in answer form without giving any real substance or reasoning.

Hello! My name is Christopher Collins and I wanted to start writing articles and blogs about my passion, and wanted to make money off of it. I was wondering where and how I can go about writing these articles or blogs for a profit, and what is the best course of action? Should I simply join a website that will pay me per article if submitted, or per page views? When was the last time you met a fellow business owner and the topic of what business you are in didn't come up? IT ALWAYS WILL ! You know you are in the presence of business owners when you talk about your business and they respond with what business they are in. No pressure, no hype, no concocted stories of success. Just two business people talking. And who knows, they may have something you need or you may have some solution for them. People helping other like minded people. You, as a network marketer, can get sucked in pretty quickly to a low cost front end funded proposal. But watch where it is taking you. To a higher ticketed item and then to an even higher ticketed item until your wallet is empty and you still haven't learned all the ninja tricks the smart internet marketer has up his sleeve. You'll learn something but there will always be a piece of the puzzle missing. Watch out for free offers too. They're not funded proposals (where someone is making money) but they are just as dangerous. Most will take the focus off your network marketing business and lead you on some wild goose chase where they will not teach you the fundamentals of building a solid MLM. We're all in business, doesn't it feel just a touch devious when a fellow business owner hides behind the "I'll help you in your business" with the "free" or "funded proposal" when their real motive is to just get you on their list? There's more and more people who are turning to being an upfront business owner and wide spread "honesty" will win the day. Just watch. Joyce

Every business owner knows that - on and offline. Fact #2: You will not make money in network marketing unless you and your team move product ! Every successful business owner learns to do it properly. Is your broke upline/mentor telling you a different story? Ask your gut - are they really telling you the truth or is there a niggling doubt that maybe you're just dreaming about dreams - living on hope? Does your pocket book or your bank account tell you that their strategy is the right one? Do you wonder what's the purpose of spending all this time online for little or no money? The number of leads you have are worthless if you don't know what to do with them SO YOU CAN MOVE PRODUCT in your network marketing opportunity. That's the only way to fulfill your dreams - moving product - selling product. The rest is just busy work. Now take a deep breath and think about it. Do you want to achieve your dreams? Then watch who you listen to, what they are saying and where they are taking you. There's a lot who don't know what they are talking about that think and convince you, they do. So I have been asked to be direct to a marketing company that is established. Now what? Your feedback is welcomed. What would you do? In a nutshell we generate interest in the program and then turn the client over to the company to present and close for us. For that we get paid $500 to $1100 per sale!
